Mini Rovers

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are delighted to announce that we will be launching a Mini Rovers football session every Saturday morning for boys and girls aged 3-5. The Mini Rovers sessions will take place at the BRIC and will run Saturdays 9-10am and will launch on Saturday 15th October.

The sessions will be run by Blackburn Rovers coaches who are fully FA qualified and first aid trained, and will cost £3 per week. These sessions are the perfect way to introduce young players to football in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

Every week we will focus on improving the football skills and ABCs (Agility, Balance, Coordination) of all attendees. Studies have shown that these ABCs are 95% developed by the age of 11, so it is vital that we start to work on these skills at a young age. The main focus will be to make the sessions as fun as possible, and to ensure every child leaves with a big smile on their face.

The sessions are for players of all abilities, but we do have links with the Blackburn Rovers boys’ academy, and the Blackburn Rovers Girls Regional Talent Centre. Our sessions will be regularly attended by talent identification staff for both the boys and girls, and there may be progression for talented players to progress into Blackburn Rovers academies.

If you would like to sign your child up to the Development Centre then please email andrew.aspinall@brfctrust.co.uk or call the office on 01254 508256.
